We are seeking a person to serve as Assistant to the President - Director of Strategic Initiatives. The primary objective of this position is to help form and manage conference strategic mission-driven initiatives, and cultivate relationships with people and organizations for the purpose of driving mission forward in Minnesota.
This role reports directly to the president's office. Salary ranges from $4,805 to $5,634 per month. Position is full-time exempt and eligible for all full-time benefits, including medical insurance, retirement basic and matching contributions, tuition subsidy for qualifying dependents, and more.
Qualifications are as follows:
- Must have an expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Seventh-day Adventist church member in regular standing, and a desire to serve in a cooperative, spiritually redemptive, and soul-winning atmosphere.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. In lieu of bachelor’s degree in related field, proven track record of strategic planning, fund raising, project management, and major gifts donor solicitation.
- Prefer 3-5 years of directly applicable experience.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with potential major donors in clearly casting a vision and making direct asks for funding.
- Must possess or be willing to gain North American Division Gift Planning & Trust Services Certification within one year of hire.
- Must have above-average people skills and be able to relate positively and effectively with the public.
- Must be able to clearly communicate complex ideas in both public and private settings.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to work cooperatively with Conference administration and personnel.
- Must be able to write and speak English fluently; bilingual is a bonus, but not required.
