Spring Lake Park, MN (July 3, 2023) –Over the past several weeks, the Minnesota Conference Administration and Pastor Adam Breiner have been engaged in varied and amicable discussions regarding Pastor Breiner’s stance on human sexuality and the LGBTQ+ community. These discussions were carried out carefully, sensitively, and considerately by all parties. As a result of differences between Pastor Breiner’s stance and the closely held religious beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it was agreed that Pastor Breiner would resign effective July 15, 2023. The Minnesota Conference is still processing the resignation and will be releasing an additional statement when everything is finalized. The conference administration respects Pastor Breiner’s choice to be true to his convictions and is sincerely thankful for his many years of service.
