Greetings, my name is Joseph Anderson Olivier and I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1993. I came to the US in 2001 and have studied, worked, and lived here ever since. I graduated high school in 2011 and had hopes of becoming a helicopter pilot to transport people to the hospital, however as I prayed, the door was closed and I was led to be a mechanic instead. The following year in May 2012, the Lord continued working in my life in a special way and I was rebaptized and continued my journey of faith with Jesus. However, shortly after I began my training to be a mechanic in 2012, the Lord began leading me towards ministry but I took a while to finally accept. After going through depression, anxiety, fear, and many internal struggles, the Lord helped me to surrender to His will and I began my journey towards ministry in December 2016. I was blessed to study and finish the medical missionary program at the Wildwood Lifestyle Center in Georgia and then the Lord led me into canvassing (literature evangelism). I have seen the Lord so many amazing things in this work and it has served to help me greatly in preparing to serve in ministry. I am currently studying undergraduate Theology at Andrews University studying to serve in pastoral ministry. By God's grace and with the help of generous donors and my family, I have completed 2 years of studies and have a year and a half left to finish in December 2021. The Lord has promised us in Proverbs 3:5-6 that if we trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and don’t lean on our own understanding and acknowledge Him in all of our ways that He will direct our paths. This is what I have seen the Lord doing so far and I truly believe that He will continue to do so.
The donations that you give will help cover books that I give to people who I meet who are in need and are not able to give donations. At the end of this program, the donations will be sent to my school and the school will add another 50% which will help me cover my expenses for the school year which are normally around $26,000 per year. Saludos, mi nombre es Joseph Anderson Olivier y nací en Caracas, Venezuela, en 1993. Vine a los Estados Unidos en 2001 y he estudiado, trabajado, y vivido aquí desde entonces. Me gradué de la escuela secundaria en 2011 y tenía la esperanza de convertirme en piloto de helicópteros para transportar personas al hospital, sin embargo, lo puse ante el Señor en oración y Él me mostró que no era Su voluntad y la puerta fue cerrada para esa oportunidad. Al año siguiente, en mayo de 2012, el Señor continuó trabajando en mi vida de una manera especial y fui rebautizado y continué mi viaje de fe con Jesús. Sin embargo, poco después de comenzar mi entrenamiento para ser mecánico en 2012, el Señor comenzó a guiarme hacia el ministerio, pero me tomó un tiempo finalmente aceptar Su llamado para mí. Después de pasar por depresión, ansiedad, miedo y muchas luchas internas, el Señor me ayudó a rendirme a Su voluntad y comencé mi camino hacia el ministerio en diciembre de 2016. Tuve la bendición de estudiar y terminar el programa de médico misionero en el centro de vida sana llamado Wildwood en Georgia, y luego el Señor me condujo al colportaje. He visto al Señor hacer muchas cosas maravillosas en esta obra y me ha servido para ayudar enormemente para servir en el ministerio. Al momento estoy estudiando Teología en la Universidad Andrews estudiando para servir en el ministerio pastoral. Por la gracia de Dios y con la ayuda de generosos donantes y mi familia, he completado 2 años de estudios y me queda un año y medio para terminar en diciembre de 2021. El Señor nos ha prometido en Proverbios 3:5-6 que si confiamos en El con todo nuestro corazón y no nos apoyamos en nuestro propio entendimiento y lo reconocemos en todos que hacemos, Él dirigirá nuestros caminos. Esto es lo que he visto hasta ahora en mi vida y tengo la certeza que lo continuará haciéndolo.
