For Maplewood Academy to continue to fulfill its God-given mission to work towards the education and salvation of the young people entrusted to us, a new cafeteria building is vital. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to contribute to this exciting project that will support the entire Minnesota Conference, as Maplewood is the location for conference events such as camp meetings, music fest, and various Pathfinder events. SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH AND OTHER MINISTRIES AND SAVE ON TAXES USING A CHARITABLE IRA ROLLOVER
If you are age 72 or older, you probably already know that you must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA each year. These distributions are considered taxable income and are taxed at your full income tax rate. But did you know that you can meet your RMD requirement while avoiding paying income tax on it and supporting God’s work at the same time? Instead of writing a check or using your bank card to contribute post-tax dollars to God’s work, consider using a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA instead, also known as a Charitable IRA Rollover. When you inform your IRA plan administrator to make a qualified distribution directly to the Minnesota Conference Association of Seventh-Day Adventists, you can support your favorite ministries like your local church, school, evangelism, and others with funds that are not taxable, yet still count toward your RMD. Contact the Gift Planning & Trust Services department to learn more about how using this giving method can lower your taxable income while benefiting our ministries. Call 763-424-8923, email msims@mnsda.com, or learn more on our website at www.mnsdagift.org.
